About the Author:

Pamela Rae Huteson is both Thlingit and Haida from Prince of Wales Island in SE Alaska. Ms Huteson has also written and illustrated "Transformation Masks"; and written for entries for three encyclopedias, and a reference book. Also, in 1998 she was a prize winner in the Poetry division for her poem "The Potlatch Before Christmas."
